It was yet another night that saw a nervous contestant’s hopes of a multi-million dollar career in the music business being dashed so publicly but was it a contestant who should have taken the walk of shame longer ago than last night?

Jason Castro, it would appear, has mainly viewed the entire competition as a bit of a giggle and even intimated last week that he’s really burnt out and wanted to be voted off American Idol.

With his 1960’s choice of Bob Marley’s I Shot the Sheriff and Mr Tambourine Man, originally sung by Bob Dylan, it must have been difficult for Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and even ditzy Paula Abdul to take Jason’s efforts seriously!

And so it was that Jason was the contestant who had a size 10 placed swiftly up his backside as he was axed from the final line up of American Idol wanna-bees leaving David Cook, Syesha and David Archuleta as the remaining three competitors.
